Chavez's Home Away From Home: A Legacy of Love

Chavez's Home Away From Home stems from my brother Joel's dream of creating a starter home for renting, flipping, or selling. Tragically, we lost Joel in November 2023 due to a genetic condition inherited from our father. In his memory, my husband, Jaime, and I are dedicated to realizing his vision for this home.

Joel once shared pictures of his ideal interior with me, of this home and we are following through with it. By doing this we are helping his memory stay alive and to make that dream a reality. As we bring this vision to life, I feel grateful for the opportunity to honor his legacy. We hope that this home brings you joy as much as it brought us and especially him. 

This Thanksgiving 2024, we will finally unveil the home to our family. It will be their first time seeing it, and I hope they feel pride and joy in visiting Joel's creation come to life. 

We've named it Chavez's Home Away From Home so that everyone who enters feels genuinely at home. We hope that your experience in the home is a welcoming space for family gatherings, vacations, games, and whatever brings you to Lubbock. May your stay be amazing.
